Background Information

The Inter Governmental S&T Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of India and the United States of America was signed on October 17, 2005. The Indo-US S&T Cooperation is being implemented currently through the following modes:-

  • DST-NSF PROGRAM OF COOPERATION
  • Indo US S&T Forum

DST-NSF Programme of Cooperation for Scientists and Engineers was started in 2000. It provides the following ways for cooperation between the scientists and engineers from the two sides.

  1. DST- NSF Cooperation through Office of International Science and Engineering (OISE).
  2. DST-NSF Cooperation on Materials World Network.
  3. Also, DST-NSF Cooperation may occur through any NSF Research Program.

Modes of Cooperation:-

The modes of cooperation between the two sides are

  1. Joint R&D Projects.
  2. Joint Workshops/Seminars 
  3. Exploratory Visits.
