Background Information

The Inter Governmental Agreement for cooperation in the field of Science & Technology with Uzbekistan was concluded in July 1993. The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science & Technology of India and the Committee for Coordination of S&T Development, Cabinet of Ministers, Republic of Uzbekistan are the nodal agencies in India and Uzbekistan respectively.

Under this Agreement scientists from India and Uzbekistan have been usefully interacting with each other. The new Programme of Cooperation for the coming three years is likely to be available shortly.
