Background Information

The Inter Governmental Agreement for cooperation in the field of Science & Technology with Kazakhstan was concluded in May 1993. The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science & Technology of India and the Ministry of Education and Science, Republic of Kazakhstan are the nodal agencies in India and Kazakhstan respectively.

Under this Agreement, scientists from India and Kazakhstan have been usefully interacting with each other. The new Programme of Cooperation for the coming three years is likely to be available shortly.
